About The Course
Join Journey Photo Academy for an exciting scenic tour of Washington’s monuments at night. These monuments are remarkable tributes to our nations history, and represent one of the most popular tourist attractions in DC. Spend a warm summer night with us learning to photograph these historic landmarks. During this tour JPA will provide instruction on how to capture the feeling of awe they create in a postcard-worthy image. A night tour is an exceptionally perfect time to photograph these structures as you will see how their well-crafted dramatic lighting further exaggerates their emotional impact.
This excursion will provide detailed instruction on many topics, including fundamentals such as:
Use of Manual mode
Depth of field
In addition it will also cover advanced topics such as night and low light photography and cityscape photography.
JPA will guide the students through the national exhibits while providing expert instruction, tips, and answering any questions. This tour will begin at the Jefferson memorial, then moving to the Washington monument, the WWII memorial, and ending at the Lincoln memorial.
